Yangon Office Inauguration Ceremony

The Inauguration Ceremony of HIDA Yangon Office was held in Yangon, Myanmar, on 10 June 2016. The office started operation on 1 October 2015 as the fourth of HIDA's Overseas Office followed by Thailand, Indonesia and India.
A total of 140 guests attended the Ceremony. Mr. Kazuo Kaneko, the President of HIDA, stated that HIDA will make greater efforts to contribute to the industrial development of Myanmar through our HRD activities and that Mr. Kenichiro Eguchi, the Representative of Yangon Office, and all the other staff members of HIDA will work together for Myanmar, which is enjoying rapid economic growth at present.

Our honored guests kindly gave us congratulatory addresses. HE Mr. Khin Maung Cho, the Union Minister, the Ministry of Industry, stated that he would like to thank HIDA and Japan since many Myanmar people are acquiring skills and techniques through HIDA's training programs and he expects HIDA to continue to support the human resource development of the people in Myanmar.

HE Mr. Tateshi Higuchi, the Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar, mentioned that the Japanese government will continue to support Myanmar's economic development and is encouraging HIDA to play an important role in this area.
After the Ceremony, we had a Commemorative Seminar. Dr. Hiromitsu Muta, Prof Emeritus, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and the Adviser, Ministry of Education of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar talked on "Current Issues on Human Resources Development in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from a the Supply Side View Point" and Ms. Khine Khine Nwe, the Vice President of Myanmar HIDA-AOTS Alumni Association (MHAA) and the Joint Secretary General of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry(UMFCCI), talked on "The Current Situation and Prospective View of Myanmar".
