Conclusion of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the AOTS and the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-KGP)

On 21 January 2019, the AOTS signed a memorandum of cooperation with IIT-KGP to create a comprehensive collaboration in the areas of human resource development, R&D, and business exchanges.

Mr. Shinya Kuwayama, AOTS President, and Prof. Partha P. Chakrabarti, Director of IIT-KGP, used a video conference system to attend the signing ceremony.

Together with IIT-KGP, India's top engineering institute, the AOTS---an HRD organization promoting technical exchange through training and experts dispatch---will maximize the use of knowledge and knowhow to develop training programs on technology and administrative management. Meanwhile, both parties will carry out projects promoting exchange of talented students between India and Japan, and mutually develop the economies of and friendship between our two countries.

IIT-KGP: Established in 1951 in Kharagpur, an industrial city located 100 km west of Kolkata, the Indian state of West Bengal. Has an exceptional status as a research and educational institute of national importance bestowed by the Institutes of Technology Act, and the longest history among the IITs.
