AOTS's 60th Anniversary Commemorative Symposium

Live in Harmony Together, Grow Together
- A Future Outlook of Co-creation and Co-existence between Japanese and Foreign People -

Greetings from the AOTS

The AOTS will celebrate our 60th anniversary on 10 August 2019. The year of the 60th anniversary is associated with reaching the age of 60, at which point one completes a full cycle of the twelve-pronged zodiac calendar. We will remain loyal to the concept of “Live in Harmony Together, Grow Together,” while reaffirming the commitment we made at the time of establishment. This will allow us to consider how to put the AOTS on the right path for future generations and the prospects for international cooperation.

This symposium has a particular focus on the theme of “A future outlook of co-creation and co-existence between Japanese and foreign people.” The flows of people and technology do not always occur unilaterally from Japan to abroad. In some cases, Japan adopts innovations from overseas. Amidst the increasing tendency of bilateral flows, the number of foreigners working in Japan is steadily rising.

The presentations and panel discussions will explore how Japanese and foreign people can jointly build a new global community and identify the desired state of a world that realizes the concept of “Live in Harmony Together, Grow Together.”
